Interview about Bamboo Forest and an OKoD review

Bob McLain, author of the awesomely-named Snow White and the Seven Dead Dwarves and the upcoming Disney Dreadful, as well as proprietor of Theme Park Press, recently interviewed me about Bamboo Forest Publishing. If you’ve ever been curious about the business side of the dark side, check out this interview. I talk about the publishing process, why I decided to start Bamboo Forest, where the name of the company came from, and what I’m doing with all of the profits from DSoD (surprisingly, I’m not burning $100 bills to light huge spliffs while bathing in champagne and servicing three prostitutes at once. Not on a daily basis, anyway). Read the interview at Bob’s site, DisneyBookBeat.com!

Also out today is a new review of “Our Kingdom of Dust” on MiceChat.com! George and Jeff tag-team this one, with George saying, “Kinsey’s novel is a gripping page-turner,” while Jeff says, “Leonard manages to weave a compelling story that keeps you on the edge of your seat….” Read the rest at MiceChat.com!

I agree with the review, the book was very engaging and I couldn’t put it down. I kept associating Lisa with Draven in my mind and I imagine you did too since you put her on the cover. I’m really curious about all the Disney related things I learned in the story and wonder if it is all true? :)

Thanks, Jared! I’ve actually had a mental image of Lisa in my head for about 10 years now (back when I had a similar story idea). Very happy coincidence that Draven bears such a similarity!

I think all of the Disney-related things are accurate. Obviously the characters are fictional, though. But if there’s anything specific you want to know about, feel free to ask.
